Burning Still Job Board?

Site Distiller's picture

Recently, Burning Still has been growing, and is today a nice mix of people who enjoy distilled spirits as well as a surprising number of people representing distilleries. As the site grows, we're looking at ways to better serve the distilling community. One idea that came up was setting up a job board for distilleries, distillers and those looking for a way into the distilling business. What are your thoughts? As a distiller, do you have trouble locating good help. Have you ever tried to recruit a master distiller?

Send us your thoughts. Post here, or email to site_distiller burningstill.com with your comments.

Cheers.

working in the distilling industry

Try finding a local distillery and see if they have opportunities available. If you have a good work ethic and a strong desire to learn then I would think that would be a good bet for the hiring distillery. You might have to settle for part time work early on. Where are you located?

On the subject of job boards, it sounds like your vote would be yes. That's encouraging, however, I'd like to see a little more interest on the part of distilleries before we offer a job board.
